It pays to plan ahead; not only for the future of your business, but for the succession of your business.
Our practice is dedicated to helping you plan for the eventual succession of your business by objectively evaluating your existing business structure, identifying value acceleration opportunities, and developing a thorough exit planning strategy.
Value Acceleration is a process that focuses on the strength of your intellectual capital (your intangible assets) and aligning your business, personal, and financial goals.
Exit Planning combines the plan, concept, effort, and process of business succession into a clear, simple strategy to build a business that is transferable through strong human, structural, customer, and social capital.
U.S. Trust recently released its 2017 US Wealth and Worth Survey, which sampled a group of business owners with at least $3 million in investable assets. Despite having plans for the future of their businesses, a majority of owners (69%) have not crafted a formal exit strategy. Nor have they prepared for potential negative events. For example, 84% don’t have a plan in case of a decline in their own cognitive capacity. Eighty-three percent aren’t prepared to handle a substantial labor or wage lawsuit. Seventy-four percent aren’t equipped to manage a sudden business downturn.
We come alongside you to review measures to help protect your business, reduce taxes, and review existing systems to proactively address operational, technology, and human resource issues that can directly impact the current value, and upcoming sale, of your business. Our integrated resource network of trusted advisors works with you now to plan ahead for your future.
